Program Details

Located in the central and charming Ocala, Florida, this region has been a natural landmark since the 1870s. Silver Springs, Florida’s first tourist attraction features one of the largest artesian springs in the world. On this trip we will visit four different freshwater springs in Ocala National Forest; including Silver Springs, Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs, and Silver Glen Springs. We will spend some time enjoying the beauty of each spring and snorkeling, and camp near one of the springs Saturday night.

Hiking, trekking, biking, rafting, and kayaking adventures all over the world, made for beginners and outdoor types.

Accommodations: Camping – Frontcountry

Camping with access to most amenities, usually have access to running water, bathrooms, showers, and cell phone reception.

Challenge Rating: 2 - Light

Light walking, hiking, or paddling suitable for most fitness levels. Nothing too challenging.

Included in Price: 

Transportation from Campus Recreation and back, staff guides, snorkeling gear, all camping equipment (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad) 

Meals: Saturday Lunch and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch, snacks 

Not Included in Price: 

Water bottle, sunscreen

Meals: Saturday breakfast, Sunday dinner
